About me

My story starts with my passion for horses, which Ive loved ever since I can remember.
As a little girl, I always dreamed of working with animals, but horses in particular, were the animal that was in my mind something otherworldly, something different, something special.

To be honest, I was always the “weird girl”, I never fit in anywhere… So when I was finally able to start riding, it was a dream come true. I have spent a lot of time in a riding school, then had a mare on loan for about a year or two, and then I got Miško. He is such a big part of my life, of my personality, and also a big factor of why I am the way I am, and why I do the things I do.

I always knew I would end up in an animal care related position/job, but after finishing my Vet Technician schooling, I got stuck. Then in 2019, I was looking at all the “cool equestrian girls” on Instagram and their gorgeous mounts, adorned with majestic looking tack. Because I also wanted to be “a cool equestrian”, I tried to look up where I could get such looking tack for my own horse, and couldnt find anything similar available in stores anywhere. Somehow instead, I found videos of leather makers crafting such bridles.

And because I was always a crafty person, I managed to persuade my mom into driving me to a leather store and buying me my first half of a cowhide, ordered some basic tools over the internet and tried my luck.

Who would have thought, I found my passion. I started with creating a really basic looking wallet for myself, a collar for my dog, some bracelets and then I made myself a belt, a treat bag and crafted my first horse bridle.

Its been almost 7 years since I started creating, and I am amazed how there is always something new to learn, just like working with horses, every single day.

I have made numerous wallets, mens and womens, belts, bags, keychains; I crafted saddle bags and created gorgeous horse tack, from bitless bridles, cavessons and cavamores to bitted bridles, different types of breastcollars and more; I have repaired shoes and sewed myself a pair of slippers and a pair of leather sandals; and lately I have been getting saddles in for repair and restoration.

My “specialization” is horse tack- but not the kind you are used to seeing in stores, the kind that will make your horse look like from a movie or a fairytale. I create tack that is not only strong, functions well and is good fitting, but also pretty to look at, is made to handle daily use and most special of all, is unique to your wishes.

I have only been creating for almost 7 years, and have a feeling I have so much more to learn, to create, to craft and experience. I hope one day I will be able to say I can make shoes, those proper ones, and Id also like to be able to make saddles from scratch, but all in its time.
